Michèle Auclair’s playing was described as ‘energetic, abrasive and charged with intensity’. She was well known for giving most striking performances and brimful of fire. These French broadcasts made between 1958 and 1967 are available for the first time on CD. Sadly, in the mid-sixties, Auclair was involved in an automobile accident which put paid to her career as a soloist.
